Msg to the Newer and yet 'Untainted' Christians

I am writing this message to warn the newer Christians out there, as well as to exhort them to the good works of the Gospel!

I have been in this walk for over 25 years, and have been exposed to the gamut: Fundamentalist churches, Holiness Pentecostal, Neo-Pentecostal, Charismatic, Full-gospel, Latter Rain, Discipleship, End time Sons-of-God, Jesus Only (anti-Trinity), Sat. Sabbath, etc. and have discovered one thing-----all these 'ministries' have produced self-elevated, we-are-the-only-ones-who-have-the-answer type churches who produce non-humble members that fail & fall, and are the most non-Christ like!!

They are modern day Pharisees who produce what??? Are they like Jesus----non-judgmental, servants, putting others above themselves, not-haughty in their words & deeds, doing greater works than Him, bringing ppl to the Good News, etc?!! Or, are they 'God's man (or woman) of the hour, dissecting the dead letter of the Word so as to discover their own special Holy Ghost revelation, then bringing deviseness into the Body instead of Truth with their own personal revelation, not the Spirit of Unity, and so forth.

There are problems with modern day churches, but those problems are very obvious in distorting the N.T. church structure and operation. Such as I have spoken out against N.T. Tithing over and over again---but it is not some special revelation, just reading the Gospels & Epistles as a whole. But the anti-Trinity and Sat. Sabbath disputes are unprofitable, fruitless discussions, and will not send someone to Hell!!

So are these 'God's man or woman of the hour' more interested in being "technically right," or in the salvation of souls..?? Or, are they just stirring up unrest, producing distortions and modernizing a continuation of old-time gnosticism, which is a fore runner of the end-time church purification process....guess, time will tell?!

Dont be swayed by the modern day Pharisees!

The only ppl that Jesus came against and pointed a finger at were the Pharisees during His ministry on the earth. These were the Jewish Levites & priests who were trained in the Law and walked by the letter of it. They were outwardly 'holy' in their dress (often black religious robes) and even had trumpeters to gain them attention when they gave their tithes. But, inwardly they were, as Jesus described them, "white-washed tombstones full of dead men's bones." And again, they were those who "thought they could see but were blind," as in spiritual things.

Also, Jesus said, "Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees!" For a little 'leaven' (yeast) spoils the whole loave. Leaven used as a type for 'sin.' And, "whatever is not of faith, is sin."

So putting all of this together: Those who walk by faith are inwardly holy and are 'of Him', while those who act holy outwardly, are in fact dead in their works, and are like the scripture as being "only clanging symbols, and being without love."

'You will be known as being Mine by your love for one another.' (paraphrased)

So focus on the Spirit within the Word (and not on the dead letter), seek the Christ of the Gospels, walk like Him in humility, putting aside self as He did being an obedient Son even to death on a cross, and you will be on the right path. All other discussions that do not promote His Gospel are fruitless (producing no 'good fruit') & not profitable (as in promoting the Good News leading to salvation) and are vanity (the worthless futility of men's minds)!!

"You will be known as being Mine by your love for one another." You're right, discussions that don't promote the Gospel "Good Word" are fruitless. Jesus taught the Gospel in different ways. It wasn't just the words he spoke but also through His deeds or acts. Everything He did was a lesson in some way. His examples were meant to demostrate how a follower of God should behave as well as believe. He taught love, kindness, charity, forgiveness, compassion. He taught us we should love God above all others but He also taught us we should love each other, help each other, be kind to one another, forgive each other. Belief is the most important thing, but Jesus taught us that He expects a little more out of us then "just" that. No you can't go to heaven through deeds alone. But will Jesus know you if you never learn to love your brother as well? Isn't that also part of being a Christian? A self-gratifying Christian is a vane Christian. The Gospel was meant to be shared with everyone.
