The roman catholic church wanted to get more people in there congregations. There were sunworshipers in those days as there are today. The Roman Catholic church changed the day of worship from Saturday, to Sunday. This is fact. If you worship on Sunday, you are worshiping the wrong day. The calenders changed and the real day should begin on Sunday. However, the powers that be, are decieving people.

Another 'distraction' from a simple Gospel that even a child can understand...how sad!

If you believe in God, then you should worship every day. You should praise God every day. It's makes little sense to fuss over what day the Jews or the Catholics worship God. God is eternal, God is everywhere and everything. He hears your thoughts and prayers, anywhere and any time. What did Jesus say when the Pharisees tried to condemn Him for eating, healing and preaching on so-called holy days. All days are holy if you love God. You are not a Christian just on Sunday or Saturday or whatever. And God doesn't only love you on the weekends or beginning of the week.

I beleive you guy's are totally missing the point here. The reason the day is so important is because of the sacrafice, the celebration. Everyday is correct but there is one day above all days and that is the Mass. The day were the multitude can be feed with the very presence of the sacrafice. The Bread of Life.

The earth could exist more easily without the sun than without the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. If we only knew how God regards this Sacrifice, we would risk our lives to be present at a single Mass.

So worship everyday but be feed on Sunday....The Eucharist is the bread of Life...

Peace unto you....

Hello Mike, You did notice that I said we should worship every day. That includes Sunday as well. So I don't disagree with you that we should worship on Sunday. I do disagree that Sunday holds more significance over any other day. What is time to God? Did God create the calender or did we? Does God go by our watch? The only thing our days represent is on what side of the earth the sun is shining on at a particular time. So, should we worship God when it's Sunday in Israel or when it's Sunday in China? Do we take into account leap years or do we have to go back centuries to correct it? The day is meaningless to God, that's how we keep order in our chaotic world. That's why I say we should worship every day of the week. We need to be fed every day with the Holy Spirit. I hope that makes a little sense to you. God bless you brother.

Dan,

Blessing's and Grace unto you..

I think the reason we differ is because of our understanding of worship. I agree worship is an everyday thing. Our lives should be a perpetual worship. In everything we do it should be an act of worship.

The Mass to me is a celebration of the Sacrafice, the difference being is that I beleive the Eucharist is the actuall body and blood of Jesus in the appearence of Bread and Wine, not the other way around. Protestants beleive the Bread and Wine is symbolic and if I beleived that then I would agree with you that Sunday is just another day, but because I beleive its the actuall Body and Blood then it would make Sunday a very Holy Day. If Im right, noticed I said IF then it would or at least should change peoples minds not only about Sunday but also about the catholic church because there the ONLY Church who serves the Eucharist.

You asked about time and what it means to God, well it must mean something because He is the creator and if Time wasnt God's Will then it wouldnt exist. Also seeing how everything we do on earth is measured by time it must matter. We are empty vessal's , its only by God's grace that we know anything so if the calender was invented then its by Gods grace that we have it. But I beleive your right in part about time. God isnt bound by time so if its sunday here and another day over sea's then because God isnt bound by time He can accept our acts of celebrating's the Mass as unified even though its happening at different times.

You also mentioned something about chao's and a need for order and that is exactly why time and a chain of authority is very important to religion...

I hope you at the very least can understand why I beleive what I beleive...Peace unto you.

I wouldn't call myself a protestant. I tend to disagree with them on many issues as well. I refer to myself as a Christian and nothing else. Before I was reborn I studied different denominations to see which one most closely adhered to the words of Christ. I found alot of good in them all but I also found many contradictions as well. So I stick exclusively to the words of Jesus and pray to God for understanding. So I'm not judging you for your beliefs. God is the judge. I'm saying there are many practices by Catholics and self-proclaimed protestants that contradict the words of Jesus. I'm not saying they're wrong or they're sinful. That's for God to decide not me. You spoke of the calender as something God graced us with. I have to disagree with that. Please do me a favor and research on how the calender we now use was devised. It's roots are pagan in nature. Check and see how we chose the names for the days and months and you'll see it has nothing to do with the God we know. God graces us with things but the devil also tries to curse us. It was better when we just had night and day and the seasons to guide us.

it doesnt really matter which day is right wether saturday, sunda or any other day, some people have no choice on what days they work, the police, fire service or paramedics or any other kind of work.
any day could be used to worship GOD he isnt bothered whicha day it is it is only us and man made rules.
