Requesting prayer for our son who will be leaving just after Christmas for Afghanistan. He has served 2 tours in Iraq, the last resulting in surgery/rehab for injuries. My wife and I give God all the thanks and gratitude that he is healthy once again, but, we are requesting prayer for his continued safety.

Also, please join us in prayer for the safety and homecoming of all our solidiers.

He, as well as everyone else in Iraq and Afghanistan, are in my prayers. I had a step-nephew and cousin's son serve in Iraq, and I have an "adopted son" in Iraq now.

He is in our prayers. Please tell him that I said thank you and am very proud of him and his comrads. They are the epitome of what it means to be a true hero and a real American!

Barry, keep us informed on how your son is doing. He has been in my prayers since you posted this. I've been praying that God puts a wall of protection all around him. It would also help me in my prayers if you could give us your son's name or his rank. So far, I've been praying for Rice Jr. and I know that's probably not accurate.

God bless you!

Thank you all for your prayers. Wade is my step-son of many years and due to our closeness I call him "son".

Then he is your son, right? He is lucky to have you as a dad!

In every way except last name - but, after all, that's only on a piece of paper.

I have the utmost respect for the military seeing as my father is retired navy and my husband was in the army. some times with all the talk of the war we forget their are real people out there every day, and I can't image all the pain, fear, etc they go through out there. I know God is watching over his children overseas and everywhere. I will pray for your son and all the troops.
