Hey. I've noticed that a lot of kids at my school drink, smoke, have sex, etc. and I realized that most of them just do it to fit into the mold. They want to be popular, so they emulate the popular kids or the bad people on tv. They wear expensive clothes, swear, make vulgar jokes, etc. because their friends do it or their heroes do it. It's really sad. I have a lot of freshman friends and I can see them starting to lose their identities just to join in with the crowd. It's heartbreaking.
Luckily, us true believers know how to be ourselves and can totally be ourselves. Once we give ourselves to GOD, we emerge real, honest, and positive people. It's the best feeling knowing that it's okay if you don't look that cool and can't quote the latest dirty movie, because our lives have a purpose. We have a reason for living.
So if you haven't yet, I strongly encourage you to give yourself entirely to GOD and follow His path. It will take you to a better place, guaranteed.

This is so very true. Kids today keep filling their hearts with stuff that won't fill the God Shaped hole in them. And again, it is extremely heartbreaking watching your friends fall into the same trap. We knew it wouldn't be easy being a Christian, but we know it's the right thing to do. You should read this book called Calvary Road. It's so amazing! I had to read it for Work Crew training. It really doesn't relate to this topic, at all, ha, but it's still good and I think you'd enjoy it! God Bless! (=

Amen brother! People don't realize that in their quest to be individual they really become more generic then the people they don't want to be like. There is total freedom in Christ!
