Intercession vs. Self Representation
When Jesus died on the Cross and paid the price for mans sin and ascended to Heaven after his mission on earth was complete... Why does Jesus still have to intercede for us to the Father today? ...and shouldn't man be cleared of his transgression's and be able to represent himself before the Father?

Sin still exists today and until we live in a world without sin, Jesus still needs to intercede for us. When we die and stand before God, the reason we go to heaven is because of our faith in Christ, but ultimately what happens is when God looks at you He no longer sees the sinful man, but the spirit of Christ in you. So since we are still in the flesh you still need a mediator to cover your sins. Anyway I guess you forgot to unveil the top answers....
