There are far too many denominations with way too many rules. So-called Non-denominational churches are just as bad. They all believe their way is right and everyone else is wrong. It's either that or they say anything goes. Most are very exclusionary at the same time they brag how welcoming they are, which is contradictory but also hypocritical on their part. Never should a church refuse someone seeking the Lord, regardless of the person's  past or previous affiliations with other denominations. Never should conditions be put on a person as requirements to joining a church except that only he comes seeking the Lord. The Church, God's church, is not meant for the pretentious, holier-than-thous. Those were called Pharisees in the past and Jesus didn't much care for them. God welcomes all who come to Him with love and faith. For a church body to impose man-made rules and then call it a house of the Lord is blasphemy. It is not man's place to judge whether a person is worthy to receive or know God. It doesn't matter if you contrive these restrictions that you place on people by basing it on biblical texts because God is the judge, not you. It's a shame that our "pride" from being good Christians has actually made us bad Christians. If you're so proud that you think you're better than any other sinner then you're sadly mistaken. Joe the adulterer and drug-addict is just as worthy of God as you are. In fact, he needs and deserves the Lord more than you. But you would deny him a chance of seeing God's love first-hand because you, mister or misses holier-than-thou, think you're better than he is. "No, we can't have you in our church." you tell him. Blasphemy plain and simply is what that is. I have not come to save the righteous, but to save the sinner. Do those words mean anything to you? Judge not lest ye be judged.  "You can't share in communion because you're not baptised or not a member of  this church." What?!  When did this stop being the house of God? Maybe it isn't. How can a sinner ever know God if these so-called Christian churches won't let them? It's a shame and a tragedy that souls are being lost because we seem to think we have been transfigured into something we're not. We're all still sinners, none worthy for the grace of God if it wasn't for our Lord and Saviour,  Jesus Christ.

Wow!!  Man, what Non-Denominational Church did you attend?  And where?

I was Baptized as a Pentecostal....And those things you listed above?  I have to agree with you on them....Most Churches say you have to do this, or that, to get to heaven....Not God....God saves us by His Grace....All we need to do is walk in Faith, believe in His Word, Accept Jesus as your Savior, believe that He died on the cross for your sins, believe that He arose on the third day to live and reign forevermore.....

I attend a Non-Denominational Church now, and have for many, many years....Why?  Because I don't hear what the Pastor thinks God is saying through His Word....I hear what GOD is saying, through His Word.....My Church is a Bible Teaching Church, the Sermon's are strictly from the Word of God, and what God is saying through His Word....We've been attending this Church now for 18 years, and trust me, if at any time, the Pastor(s) start saying, I believe this is what God means, we'll get up and walk out the door....

God should always be first, and foremost.....Denominations doesn't matter, but your Faith in Jesus, obeying God's Word means everything....We who walk in Faith know...Know that we have been saved by God's Grace.....

Our Church welcomes everybody....Communion is given to everyone....Not just those who have become Church Members, but everyone is allowed to take communion.....We have had people come in to our Church for the first time, and stay....We reach out to those in need.....We embrace the sinner.....As, like you say, we are all sinners, fallen way short of God's Glory.....The only difference between our sin, and the sin of the unsaved, is that ours is under the blood.....

We, meaning all who are saved, need to realize that our actions speak louder than words....God wants us to love everybody, even those who treat you with spite.....If you are still looking for a Church to attend, I will pray that you find one that welcomes you....You will know it, when you find it....The presence of The Holy Spirit will fall on you.....

The "Church" is composed of blood-washed, regenerated saints. Sinners are of the devil. (1 John 3:7-10) The church should be going OUT to reach the lost sinners and when they become saints THEN they become part of Jesus' church. And regarding judging, the saints ARE CALLED to judge those within the church (1 Cor. 5:11-13)

@ Michael B....Regenerated saints?  And, just what are saints?  I know the answer, but I'm wondering if you do....

Sinners are of the devil?  Do you mean all sinners?

And Judging, you say the saints are called to judge those within the church.....If that were so, then why do I feel that only God has the right to judge?

If, and that's a big IF, you know of a church family member is doing something you feel is wrong, then by all means, let the person know how you feel, but.....Do not Judge!!

You may not realize this, but some things that you feel are sinful to you, may not be for others....God knows, what you can handle, and what you can't...Those things you can't handle would be a sin, if you tried to do it, or did do it...But, that doesn't mean that everyone else is convicted of what is a sin for you.....For them, it's something they can do without being pulled under by it.....Like I say....God knows what you can handle, and what you can't....

1 Corinthians 5:11-13  (11) This tells us not to keep company with sinners....(12) Means to practice righteous discernment, between what is right, and what isn't....It does not mean the saints are called to judge...Only God is the one who should Judge....We can condemn the sin for what it is, but we are to love the sinner, not judge him/her...(13) Tells us that the unsaved does judge, and we are to turn away from his/her judgmental ways shown toward us....

God Bless!

Hey Eloise,

Regeneration is the miracle God does inside of those who believe when He changes their hearts to give them a love for righteousness and holiness and a hatred for sin. (Titus 3:5) Saints are those who no longer live for themselves and instead live for God (meaning they are set apart) and since they now hate sin they don't do it anymore. They strive to perfect a practical, living holiness by cleansing themselves from ALL defilement of flesh and spirit (2Cor. 7:1) because without a practical, actual life of holiness, no one will see the Lord. (Heb. 12:14)

Yes, sinners are of the devil, ALL sinners. Let no one deceive you, he who sins is of the devil. (1John 3:7) This is what the scripture says and it also says, "Do not be deceived, the unrighteous (sinners) WILL NOT inherit the kingdom of God." (1Cor. 6:9) Notice the warnings about not being deceived about sin. The wages of sin is death. If a Christian continues to be a sinner they will die forever.

In 1Cor. 5:11-13 Paul commands us to make judgments regarding fellow believers about sin. To do this we have to judge what is sin and what is not sin and we have to judge whether or not that fellow believer is in sin. If we judge that fellow believer to be in sin then Paul commands us to not associate with them, not even to eat with such people, but we have to judge to determine these things.

There is no one is in Heaven that has not sinned! thieves and Harlots shall enter the Kingdom of heaven before your priests and religious leaders and ministers. Regeneration, " The Peleg Genesia"  is physical rebirth. From one incarnation in a human body to the next body. Rebirth.

Regeneration is demonstrated by Jehovah, from Abrahams tents, as he finished his last meal, his last supper, Jehovah asks A'Brahm Brahm'A, " Where is Sarasvati thy wife? I shall return to her at the appointed time and she shall have son!" Then he goes away and Sarah/Sarasvati has the child Isaac. Then Jesus tells the priests of Jehovah they are damned, "Abraham rejoiced to see my day! If you were of Abraham you would know me! But you are not of Abraham you are of your father the Devil! How can you escape the greater damnation?" See? Body to body goes Jehovah! Birth to birth! But you are notof Jesus and know not the truth or the way of the Lord. And the Church that is of Jesus has no sinners in it? All have sinned. Not some, all, ALL!

Strong's G3824 - paliggenesia=Regeneration rebirth, reincarnation to be born another time.

Yes AJ, ALL HAVE sinned but true Christians now are to walk as Jesus walked and should not sin any longer.

If I walked as Jesus I would overthrow all these churches and destroy this world! "When you pray, go home and pray in secret" that is the walk Jesus taught.

Amen. Come quickly Lord Jesus!

I know what regeneration means Michael....And yes, once saved changes are starting, from the inside out....But, it has nothing to do with regeneration.....

Saints....Hold on to your seat Michael....Saints, are saved sinners.....Don't believe me?  Sorry, but it's the truth....The only difference between the Saint and the sinners, is that our sins are under the Blood of Jesus...

You say, that once we're saved, and are no longer of this world, we will no longer sin....If that were true, then why did He leave the Holy Spirit with us, to teach and guide us?  The truth is, we are ALL sinners, and have fallen short of the glory of God.....Yes, even the Saints still sin...

1 Corinthians 5:11-13:

"11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person."

Want to tell me where, that Paul commands us to make judgments regarding fellow believers in these verses....I'm seeing them differently then you are....

I suggest that you read 1 Corinthians Chapter 6:1-11, and see what Paul is saying in verse 5....Verse 5 says:

"I speak to your shame, is it so that there is not a wise man among you? No not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren."

The ones that are Judging, are not saved.....We are to stay clear of those who have heard the word, know the word, have turned their backs on God, and choose to live for the world......How will we know, if we should come across some one like this?  The Holy Spirit will let us know....Every time.....

Greetings again Eloise,

You wrote: I know what regeneration means Michael....And yes, once saved changes are starting, from the inside out....But, it has nothing to do with regeneration.....

When I was saved, complete changes were made instantly. Jesus caused me to stop being an alcoholic 14 years go and I have never went back even once. I was addicted to pornography, was delivered by Jesus and have never went back, not even one time. I used to defraud people, Jesus changed me and I have not defrauded anyone since. I could go on but I think you get the point. If I wasn't regenerated into a new person when I met Jesus then WHAT made these miraculous changes? It certainly wasn't me.

The literal definition of saint is holy one. You can look it up if you don't believe me. Saints are holy. That's the truth. Saints are set apart for God and they live righteous and holy lives. Sinners live in sin. That's the difference between the two.

We should no longer sin because God left us His HOLY Spirit. The scripture says, "Walk by the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh." (Gal. 5:16)
