People who don't hate Jews

This group is for people who don't hate Jews only.

If you make groups for KJV bible believers only and can't stand for a Jewish opinion or you preach a racest gospel you probably won't fit in here.

Reflecting this week about Chabad Kabbalah,,, The Star of David is a Jewish Kabbalistic drawing showing points of existence ,, The Menorah is about the Light ,, These things have deep meaning in the Jewish Faith All the Jewish Rabbi's teach this way.

We read a Parsha (Torah Portion) every week and in every Parsha comes a life lesson.

Parsha Behaaloscha, Numbers 8:1

G-d spoke to Moshe, saying: Speak to Aharon and tell him, "When you light (beha'alosecha) the candles" (Bamidbar 8:1)

From the Rabbi

This week’s Parsha gives us many valuable life lessons. One of the subjects of the Parsha is the lighting of the Menorah. This job was assigned to Aharon. RAshi explains that the great lights were lit with the use of a Taper. The lit taper would be held up to the wick until the flame of the wick would burn brightly on its own and then the Tapir was removed. Sounds simple enough so what great lesson can we learn from this? We learn that while our children need our support, at some point when the fire burns we must step back and let them fly.
We have become a society of parents that so want to protect their children that we smother them and never let them develop. In turn our children have become self-indulgent and filled with a sense of self entitlement. The worst part is that because they are not being allowed to make their own mistakes they never learn and grow. If you would read the Parsha you understand that the flame of the Menorah is beautiful and that it is allowed to grow and burn on its own once the wick has been lit.
Be there to guide your children and steer them in the right path, but like the wick of the Menorah let the flame in them burn freely and let them grow in self-reliance and confidence. Let them become their own people to shine brightly as a lamp unto the next generation. Gd Bless and Shabbat Shalom.

If only you knew my Daughter Sarah, Alan, ,,,, Defender of Chickens ,,,,, You would realize how funny I think that is ,, We can't even think of harming Chickens at our house.

"" We can however eat their unborn offspring in a strange ritual we call breakfast. ""

Cool Kevin!, The Greeks were real jerks to the Hebrews, even sacrificing pigs on the Alter  , But God was with the Maccabees!

I'm not sure the oil thing is even true.

Did know about Chanukah, and also celebrated the Maccabee victory, re-dedication of the altar which restored YHVH's presence to the Temple. Did not celebrate the legend of the one day of oil lasting eight days. I don't think I read that in the book of Maccabees:)
