Sometimes

Sometimes I think
Sometimes I wonder
Sometmes I want to be left alone

Sometimes I think
Sometimes I wonder
Sometimes I want to know why did you pick me

Sometimes I think
Sometimes I wonder
Sometimes I want to know why I think to much

This is a poem I just write on top of my head and this is what this group is about poetry. if you poems you would like to share dont hesitate and share we would like to hear them.

TIME AND VANITY
I saw this market a while ago floating with individuals of various tribes, cultures, homes and religions. Each of them were curious and eager to meet up with life’s demands; but as the sun goes to bed and the face of the sky grow dim in loneliness, these people were no more, the sound of a falling leaf was now like a waterfall. I wondered but realized that “Time is not partial-Time goes in time and this is our TIME”

The past has drifted away - just like a spring in the desert. The present is hear. Yesterday's future is today. Today's future will be tomorrow. Yesterday is gone, and what tomorrow will become is for us to decide. OUR FUTURE IS IN US!

Change of Time

What is my life missing and what does it consist
Sift out sincere people from those that I should resist
It’s time to change mindsets, opinions and attitude
As this is a new journey, that will take me to a higher altitude

More things will be gained that would replace the lost
The purification of my soul that has surpassed any cost
As a continuous request for strength of resistance
That I may overcome those temptations lurking from a distance

I have been a part taker of sin for far too long
I know now that here is where I belong
As I hold on the father’s hand and not look back
At times I may slip but I won’t fall off track

I know where my heart is, it’s not a guess
Satan’s temptations, is God’s tests
Living a life that’s pure and right
Will lead me out of the darkness into a future that’s bright

Mountains and Moonlight

Nights without sleep, I stayed up and cried
Things never got any better no matter how I tried
Then I felt a warmth, but no one was with me
Then I heard my child fear not for I am always with thee

My tears came to an immediate stop
Needless to say I was in total shock
I sat there frozen because I didn’t know what to do
A voice said: there’s no problem that I can’t bring you through

I then in a weak voice asked, God is that you
He answered and said yes I am here to help you
I’ve heard every whimper and every moan
There’s no reason for you to be alone

I have felt your pain, and saw every tear
So I came to comfort you, so don’t you fear
It is times like these I cherish the most
When I get to hold my children close

He said look in front and tell me what you see
And then look up and tell me what is displayed plainly
Darkness in front but the moonlight shined bright
That’s how you can see where you are going even though it’s night

When you stand in front of mountains at night
Look up where you can see the moon light
Put on your boots, climb up and rise to it
And know that it was I who just brought you through it

Endings to Beginnings

I woke up this morning feeling great
To a well prepared breakfast on my plate
With a seat outside, seeing the cars pass by
And a mother bird teaching a baby chick how to fly

The kids are off to school and they say goodbye with a kiss
A day to myself brings me utter bliss
My neighbor looks at the time and says oh my gosh I’m late
As a car drives up and she meets them at the gate

I threw my head back and my hands in the air
A sense of freedom, being the only one here
I heard this voice and I quickly took my hands down
But I didn’t see anyone, as I looked around

I was frightened because I was alone
Then here comes this man with a chair of his own
I looked at this man and asked if he’s in the right place
He said this is the given address, with a smile on his face

He said I am here because you are at the brink
We both know that you do not want another drink
From this morning you will never be the same
You will shiver each time you see and hear my name

You have seen my name before it is in the book
But now you would pay more attention the next time you look
Drinking only burns your problems leaving the ashes behind
Pray to me today, and I will give you a sound peace of mind

In the blink of an eye he was gone in a flash
And those bottle went straight into the trash
I thank him today for showing me how to win
And showing me ending is a good way to begin

A Shocking Change

Eyes filled with tears and a heart that’s broken
From undesired actions and hurtful words spoken
Visible scars to show the pain felt inside
Carefully tucked away from public shame, I hide

As each day came, I get up and again I try
And with each passing night again I cry
Everyone around us has something to say
It’s nice to know that soon silence will rule the day

Heads will turn and jaws will drop
All the laughing and criticism will stop
They will be like statues frozen in shock
A rocky marriage, now stands firmly on a rock

Not surprising they didn’t think we would last
But we held on to each other and not the past
The wind tossed us, but we stood stronger
The storm was long, but our love lasted longer

What we do in the eyes of others may seem strange
But things that are seen are always subject to change
These things had to happen, it was in line with the father’s plan
So trust in his judgment, and hold on tightly to his hand

Bursting the Bubble

I feel like I am in a bubble
Like I am trapped inside of trouble
Oh! Why don’t things go my way
Better is coming; but it hasn’t today

I laugh away the pain
I see the sun but all I hear is rain
When I pray does he hear me
Yes he does because he is always near me

He is not letting this happen for nothing
I know by faith that he is up to something
He promised never to let me down
So I am just a queen awaiting her crown

Trials always comes before a blessing
So why must I waste my time stressing
Let me stop putting my trust in man
And hold on to God’s unchanging hand.
