Friday morning, I went to work. It was my normal scheduled weekend to work day shift. Due to the effects of the suffering economy on the steel industry, my plant, at first, reduced the running time of the operations by only running 3 of the 4 crews by dividing a shift to the others. Then they reduced the hours of the hourly employees from 48 to 44 on our 48-hour weeks to average out to 40 hours a week (the other week is 36-hours). Then they reduced all hourly employees to 36 hours a week.

are quick to ask God for the desires of our hearts because we have
always been told that God will grant us the desires of our hearts.
However, it is rarely emphasized that God may grant us the desires of
our hearts as long as it is in accordance to His Will and fits into His

There is a book out called "The Five Love Languages" by Dr. Gary Chapman. Now, I have never read the book myself, but have only heard about it.
From my understanding of what I hear of this book, there are
essentially five languages in which we, as humans, communicate love and
affection to one another. I understand that this is not limited to just
a marriage type relationship, but how to relate to all people in
general.

What
exactly are the requirements of ministry? Is it required to have some
prestigious resume which include denominational doctrine affiliations,
licenses and degrees plastered upon your wall, or a dozen stylish suits
to transform you into the person the world deems fit? I believe not.
The requirements for ministry are this simple: a willingness to serve
and the drive to not let anything stand in the way.

To me, life is ministry—it should be for all Christians.
