Bettee The Children

It amazes me how many children there are out there hurting.... children in our own neighborhoods. Recently I have come across some, that have no one to turn to. They have parents that don't really care about them.

All they really want is someone to care and love for them, someone to reach out to them, and let them know they have someone to talk to. Someone they can talk to, and maybe get some advice. As they become a part of a family, they sometimes loose their hardness, ( for some it

sharen love From Problems To Perfection

“Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” (Mat… Continue

d(heavenbound) excerpt from a prodigal's journey of faith...

luckily enough, the layover in st. louis was a short one..and that's where i first met a Christian sister that i would end up spending quite a bit of time in fellowship with over the course of the night into the next morning...

i met sister mitchell in line at the bus depot, and ended up approaching her later on the bus, telling her how encouraged i was by the fact that there was another vocal Christian on the trip...she's from the jackson, mississippi area, and does ministry work

The Skeptical Believer Resurrection is GO!

I’ve been spending a lot of time trying to decide what subject to write about first—there are just so many things I want to tackle. In the end, though, there really was only one thing I could start with. I almost went with a discussion of why anyone should trust anything the Bible says. After all, if the Bible is just a book of fairytales…well then what’s the point of being a Christian, eh?

But there is one topic that towers above all others as the most compelling to me, a topic that… Continue

AIL Unequally Yoked With Unbelievers

2Corinthians 6:14. Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? NIV. Prayer: God's word also says bad company corrupts good manner. Lord, we come before you again to receive strength. We ask of your spirit and wisdom to always guide us in our day to day dealings with our unbelieving friends and relatives. That they will not influence us to act unjustly, to compromise your word and our faith i… Continue

Rev Dr Augustine Joseph Move towards God

, What happens when you seek after God closely a) He reveals himself to you (Isaiah 6:1-3) b) The result of him revealing himself to you; 1) God will entrust you with the awesome tasks of the kingdom (God sends Isa to minister) 2) Things have to change ( in the presence of God there is action, progress and change) (ex. Isa agreed to carry out his charge, and the angels are flying and carrying out their holy orders to praise and proclaim the word of God.) 3) When there is agreement to do the will… Continue

The Skeptical Believer Nobody Here But Us Linens

When I was about 8 or 9 years old, the Sunday School classes at my church decided one year that for Easter we were going to make a little mini-movie about the resurrection. We had the whole thing set up on a large lawn outside the classrooms. Our classroom was to be the 'upper room' where the disciples were cowering after Jesus' execution, and across the lawn, placed against the bushes bordering the edge, we had set up a big foam rock acting as the stone sealing his tomb, complete with Roman sol… Continue
