Simply Ministry Business and Marketing Boot Camp!
What stops you from aggressively pursuing your passion and dream for a Christian music ministry? If you're like most folks, it's the age old problem of money and exposure. Many artists are weak in areas like business, finance and marketing. The intricate and delicate balance needed between the humility of ministry and hard-line of business is difficult to define - and even harder to maintain. Consequently, critically important stuff is simply ig…

Luke 18:1
Then he spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.
This scripture is simply telling us that we should always pray and not faint. As I journey through this life climbing the mountains of life and trudging through the valleys, I find that it is easy to lose heart and it's hard to pray at times.
In those times that you don't feel like praying those are the very times that you need to pray the most. We should not just pray but pray without ceasing.
If yo…

PASTORS
I want to bring to your attention a subject I have agonized over for a very long time. It has been on my heart and in my spirit for several years. I traveled the eastern half of the U.S. for four years on business and had the opportunity to visit a variety of churches during that time. I saw enough to break my heart and keep me in tears for the rest of my life. Be sure that the very last thing I ever wanted to have in the Lord was a super-critical view point resulting in an “us against…

"Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." They answered Him. "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say, "You will be made free"?" Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you…

1 Peter 3:8
Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.
Easier said then done. At times we can find these words hard to obey. We are different people with different dreams, goals, and ideas. We were raised differently. We don't like the same food, clothes,or music.
This is challenging to say the least but if we as people would celebrate our differences instead of using them to act superior or above the other we could le…

Psalm 42:1
As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for you, O God.
I like the analogy that the writer uses as the deer pants for the water brook this is how his soul pants for God.
A deer habitation is usually dry mountainous terrain or forest. Being that it's a dry area their search for water is evident. They pant for the water brook to satisfy their thirst.
This is the way our soul should search after God. Pant is to run to or to long eagerly. Luke 4:10 Jesus answered and…

John 7:24
Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.
How many of us have seen someone and judged them according to their appearance. If we were to take a poll on the ones of us who have the numbers would be staggering.
The scripture tells us not to judge on appearance because looks can be very deceiving. Many of us have looked at people and saw how they were dressed, their mannerism, and how they spoke and assumed they must be a man or woman of God.
Jesus doesn'…

“If any man found in John the gospel by Christ”
1. The eternal life.
John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat
of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is
my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
2. The Secret of Knowledge.

God in His abundant love, has never stopped providing
either the bad, or the good circumstances in my life.Learning to discern
both, and knowing what choices I will have; speaks of righteousness in
the trust we share with each other.Whatever my fleshly vision presents to my
mind,I know my spirit will clearly understand and reveal to me?
Besides, His end result will be destined for my good no matter how terrible
circumstances appear in the moment. This is the deception of the flesh with…

Proverbs 14:12
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.
What way is this? The way of the flesh. When we follow the leading and guiding of our flesh we are dooming ourselves. The flesh lust after the things of this world.
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world-lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world.
It is so easy to get caught up in the lust of the flesh we have so many of our preachers and teacher…

Settling into my Christianity when first saved,
was difficult for me;as it was for many of us.
Over the years,I realized why?
I had spent those many years within a society attempting to please
others, and myself.I never focused nor watched as my God worked
in the circumstances of my life.
I didn't picture selfishness as relative to sin, when it is synonymous
in living life!
My concept of I,Me;and Mine:,were all the same.Yet;until I realized
the selfish desires of my heart,I became adept at crea…

2 Timothy 3:7
Always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Yes. You read that scripture correctly. We are always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. What a tragedy on our parts as christians.
Hebrews 5:12-14

The following is an excerpt from the "Prayer" section of today's
The Cypress Times.
Our small group of twelve (some may not consider that quite a “small” group) met back in April for our semi-monthly Bible study. We delved into what honestly struck me at first as a slightly odd question; but as the research and discussion progressed, I felt we all discovered two things. First, it’s easy to get tangled up in specific words and the perc…
