Wow this blew me away
This weekend I attended the Cape Town luanch of a curriculum to educate Christians how to think like Christians. (The Truth Project from Focus on the family)
The question was asked Why was Jesus born?
Why do you think Jesus was born? Pause a moment before you carry on reading this and think do you know the answer to this question?
None of the 200 odd Christians answered correctly, they all gave good answers but no one gave the answer as Jesus Himself tells us in Scripture.
The answer is found in John 18:37-38. I have pasted it below.
"Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end have I been born, and to this end am I come into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. 38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth?"
Do you see what Jesus said, for this reason was I born to bear witness to the truth. The truth I found over this week end is closely linked to salvation. It is incredible to see what Scripture says about truth.
