Luke 18:1

Then he spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.

This scripture is simply telling us that we should always pray and not faint. As I journey through this life climbing the mountains of life and trudging through the valleys, I find that it is easy to lose heart and it's hard to pray at times.

In those times that you don't feel like praying those are the very times that you need to pray the most. We should not just pray but pray without ceasing.

If you don't believe we must pray without ceasing stop praying. You will cease to walk in the spirit and began to walk in the flesh. Your once crucified with Christ flesh will arise from the dead but unlike Christ it will stink.

The stench of alive flesh will lead you back to the very things that Christ delivered you from. The scriptures describes this behavior like a dog returning to his vomit. You will find yourself fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. Some would call them old habits but the correct term is sin.

Prayer keeps us steadfast. Prayer keeps us in communication with the Lord. Prayer gives us the strength to keep fighting the good fight of faith.

The scriptures ask us when the Son of man comes back will he find faith on the earth. He will if we don't lose heart and faint at the things we experience in our lives or the things we see others do that is contrary to the will of God.

We must pray. We have to pray. Prayer is the key to eternal life.
