- I came to the Center of Hope in the spring 2006. I had been addicted to Crack cocaine for over 16 yrs. Actively 4 or 5 months a year. Then I would repent for a while then get on the merry - go - round again. It was not so merry though. I remember when Pastor
Dale first told me I needed to have a close personal relationship with Jesus, I was very offended, but I kept it to myself. Though I accepted Christ as my Savior at 9 yrs old I never developed a true personal relationship with Him. Since coming here to the center I have learned through the program that Pastor has put in place, that a personal relationship with Jesus is more than one-sided foxhole prayers. I have learned to put my whole life in God's hands and not to worry anymore about my life. (Matt 16: 24-25) My feelings of
inadequacy and loneliness have gone away since i have learned who I am in Christ. I have learned that I CAN trust God and it has changed my life. Oh P.S. A big chunk of the pride issue has been dealt with too. God bless you.
