- I would like to think i'm the christian lovechild of billy bob thornton and doug stanhope. I have been known to be quite pessimistic, (i prefer realistic), and very sarcastic, but nevertheless, i love god all the same. I have a big mouth, and often get told to keep quiet on, because there are many things I don't believe is right. let me clear that up. i don't think religious denominations is right because god intended for EVERYONE to believe in ONE thing, and to read ONE bible. I was once kicked out, because i tried to make change with the offering bag, so i could get a soda. CMON I WAS SEVEN!!! okay maybe.. 9... err... 13, maybe? or could it be 19?
I flirted around with many instruments through school, had a good fling with the trumpet, and got serious on guitar and piano. I want to follow the foot steps of Michael Hedges, and most of all, Kaki King, and of course, my God. They are my foundation. when i think my playing is inadequate, or if i don't think i will strike a chord, i think of them, and their stories. I don't want to sound like them, but have the same concept: to redefine the acoustic. not as far as style, but even farther... i want to redefine HOW it's played. When i make a song, i don't want to "sound" like this person or that person.. i want my own style. When i play guitar, i'm dead to everybody, because I don't care about the world around me. My 6 string has my undivided attention. Ladies, I'm taken. I have a very special red-head of mine, and she too sometimes is widowed by my guitar.
I like to meet people. not in a stalker way, but it's fun to meet new people. all the time. people who chainsmoke. people who also play the guitar or piano. people with OCD. people with missing legs. (They know the easiest ways around town.) people who write poems. people that like hearing the aristocrats joke. people who have their own version of the aristocrats joke. and if you are all of the above, Hi. I'm nick. I'm your soulmate.

Here's the update.. had a subaru for about 3 years, broke down, sold it, bought a jeep. I was doing some deep thinking, & talked to God back & forth for a bit & saw some answers to questions i didn't even bother to ask until now...There IS a moral to this REALLY LONG story, but it's worth a read for those who need some inspiration or whatever that crap is called that makes you feel all warm & fuzzy inside, besides indigestion.

Only 7 months to live!
I'm going to be a daddy in January!! YAY!

And then maybe when he/she/it is about 17 and driving, i'll convince him/her/it that he/she/it is adopted just for fun, and once they get stuck on the idea of dad being a mailman, i'll wind up on the maury show trying to win them back. it's going to be a great 18 years.
